The Children’s Museum of Tacoma was founded in 1985 by parents, teachers and community leaders. Their goal was to create unique resources for families in Tacoma and the South Puget Sound Region and for 30+ years, and that’s exactly what they’ve done. Their mission is to promote fun, learning, the wonder of childhood and let kids express their playfulness and innovation.
Tanya Andrews, Executive Director of the Children’s Museum of Tacoma, said, ”We know that young children learn through their play. So we’re growing the next thinkers and tinkerers of our time. This is bigger than the Children’s Museum.”
The museum offers Pay as You Will admission, what’s that you ask? Instead of charging a general admission fee, they allow you to give a donation that’s right for you when you visit and in turn you help them serve more families in the area. We can’t wait to have them at the Kids Fair and see what the fun is all about!
